Happy to be starting a new journey

It was easy to get out of bed this morning. I was up by 7 a.m., made breakfast, and put a load of laundry on the line all while having a cup of coffee and catching snippets of Good Morning America.

Today, my only responsibilities were to go to class, make supper, and do homework. If I do anything else, I become an over-achiever. Love it.

No stress about organizational change is weighing upon me. I've been enjoying my iced latte and free wireless at the local bookshop since 3:30 and didn't have to skip out on work to do it.

The big thing I've got to do this week isn't related to my job and it's something I WANT to do and entails being active in something I'm passionate about. Since when does that happen?

I get to start the process of re-shaping my identity among a new group of peers and colleagues. It's an opportunity to examine the way I see myself and continue honing in on my true reason for existence.

News of a free loaner $119 textbook got me off to a pleasant start, too. It almost makes up for the other $150 I've spent on books for this semester. Oh well.
